San Francisco Federal Credit Union Sponsors Immaculate Conception Academy’s Work Study Program

San Francisco, Calif. (June 7, 2012) – San Francisco Federal Credit Union participated in Immaculate Conception Academy’s (ICA) Work Study program.  The work study program places four students into one entry level clerical position at San Francisco Federal Credit Union.

This unique program is structured so that each student works five full days every four weeks.  Students never miss school for work or work for school. Students work standard business hours and are transported to and from the job site. In addition, students are given an opportunity to cover a significant portion of their tuition from the salary the employer pays, making it possible for them to attend ICA.

ICA is a member of the Cristo Rey Network, an organization of schools that bills themselves as “schools that work.” The Cristo Rey Network now includes 25 schools with over 6,000 students. The Corporate Work Study Program began in 1996.
