Saylent successfully completes Type 2 SOC 2 examinations for security

BOSTON, MA (February 10, 2016)Saylent, a software company which empowers financial institutions with data-driven insights and business tools to create profitable products and programs the market desires, today announced that it has successfully completed Type 2 SOC 2 Security examinations of its Account360™ Cloud solution. The examinations found that the system is protected against unauthorized access, use or modification.

Account360 is a relational and product pricing platform that uses data from a financial institution’s core system for processing of rewards, fee reductions and interest adjustments. Account360 helps financial institutions discover patterns in customers’ behaviors and use that insight to help grow their accounts into more profitable relationships. Rather than viewing their offerings from a siloed perspective, banks and credit unions are able to adopt a more customer/member-centric view across account types and multiple payment formats – checks, debit cards, online bill pay, automated clearing house (ACH), teller, etc. – and implement segmentation strategies and targeted incentives, including high-interest checking and points and rewards programs, to attract and keep customers and members.

“Our commitment to security is unwavering, and we wanted to go through the rigorous Type 2 SOC 2 examination process to ensure we were doing everything possible to protect our clients’ data,” said Tyson Nargassans, president and CEO of Saylent. “We are committed to performing the examinations again in future years to continue to deliver a highly secure cloud and on-premise data analytics solution for financial institutions’ customer relationship and product pricing needs.”

By engaging an independent CPA to examine and report on a service organization’s controls, service organizations can respond to meet the needs of their user entities and obtain an objective evaluation of the effectiveness of controls that address operations and compliance. The review period for these examinations was May 1, 2015 to October 31, 2015, and the auditor was Schellman & Company LLC.
