ALEXANDRIA, VA (December 1, 2015) — It’s even easier to score a touchdown with CommonWealth One’s “Team Up and Win” winter promotion. New and referring credit union members now get $30 in instant cash with when the new member opens a checking account.

Team Up and Win runs through December 31. It offers new and existing members rich cash rewards for banking with CommonWealth One, as well as a chance to win up to $5,000 in the Super Bowl® Grand Prize Sweepstakes. The rewards:

  • $60 in cash when a referred friend, family member or co-worker joins CommonWealth One and opens a checking account.
  • $70 for getting a loan or refinancing a loan from another lender to CommonWealth One for $7,500 or more.
  • $20 for every new member who gets a Visa® credit card, use Bill Pay, and/or set up Direct Deposit.

It’s easy for members to refer new members and get the $30 cash deposit. If a new member is referred in a branch, they both receive the $30 on the spot. New members can also be referred online using the “Refer a Friend” form on

Also, five $1,000 prizes will be awarded in the credit union’s Super Bowl® Grand Prize Sweepstakes in February 2016. Every new member is entered to win, and current members automatically receive one entry for every new referral who becomes a member of CommonWealth One. There is no limit on the number of referrals.
