San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, is hosting a SDCCU Biz Kid$ Teacher Training Webinar Workshop. This webinar, exclusively for educators, will familiarize them with using Biz Kid$ in the in-person or virtual classroom to teach students about money and business. The webinar will be held on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. Attendees will be entered for a chance to win a $100 gift card. This event is free to attend, but virtual seating is limited and registration is required. For more details, and to register, visit sdccu.com/bizkids.
“SDCCU is committed to helping students learn financial basics to start them on an early path toward financial success,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Campbell. “We are pleased to offer this webinar in an effort to support teachers in adding this valuable information into their classrooms whether that be in-person or in distance learning environments.”
SDCCU launched the program in partnership with the San Diego County Office of Education and the County of San Diego, in support of Live Well San Diego, in 2015. Biz Kid$ is an award-winning, comprehensive financial literacy program focused on teaching students how to use credit wisely and about the importance of saving, budgeting, investing and giving back to their communities. The Biz Kid$ program and all episodes are based on national standards for financial literacy and entrepreneurship education, and have been mapped to individual state standards.
