San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions and top credit unions, is proud to sponsor a virtual technology fair for adults over 50 years old hosted by San Diego Oasis. “The Get Connected: Technology Fair for Adults 50+” will be held November 4-5 from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. In its ninth year, and for the second time completely virtual, more than 2,500 adults ages 50+ are expected to join the event to learn about cutting-edge technology and how to improve quality of life by learning new technical advances.
Presented by knowledgeable speakers addressing a wide variety of technology-related topics, each day will bring themed sessions, ranging from everyday tech, to health, financial and fun tech topics. SDCCU will present a webinar titled “Scams and How to Protect Your Finances” on Thursday, November 4 at 10:10 a.m.
“SDCCU is pleased to do our part to help educate adults over 50 and their families on how to protect their finances and avoid scams,” said Teresa Campbell, SDCCU president and CEO. “Bringing awareness to this topic is important because it can help prevent this widespread problem that is targeting adults who are most vulnerable to becoming victims of fraud.”
SDCCU will present an informative session covering common scams that are currently being used. The session will also discuss tips for staying safe and share resources and tools available if you or someone you know has been targeted or scammed.
