Security Service Charitable Foundation donates $5,000 to non-profit organizations in the Rio Grande Valley

Funds to provide food and clothing to families in the Rio Grande Valley

The Security Service Charitable Foundation donated $5,000 to two non-profit organizations in the Rio Grande Valley. Valley Haven received $2,500 to provide essential clothing and personal hygiene items for children in their care. The other $2,500 was donated to Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley to help provide meals to individuals in need.

“We value Security Service Charitable Foundation’s support tremendously,” said Gracie Bradwell, director of operations for Valley Haven. “We truly appreciate your commitment to our children and know that it is donors like you who help our organization continue our mission.” In addition, Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley will use their donation to help feed those less fortunate. The funds will provide approximately 833 meals which will feed 277 individuals.

“Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley is extremely grateful for the donation made by the Security Service Charitable Foundation,” said Sister Norma Pimentel, executive director for Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley. “Funds provided will be utilized to assist the most vulnerable in our community.”

The Security Service Charitable Foundation helps further Security Service Federal Credit Union’s corporate goal of community service by contributing to deserving organizations and causes in the credit union's market areas.
