Security Service donates $10,000 to clear Horizons Academy Outreach in Orem, Utah
OREM, UT (December 1, 2014) -- Security Service Charitable Foundation presented Clear Horizons Academy in Orem, Utah, with a $10,000 donation that will be used to offset tuition for its students through a scholarship program. Clear Horizons Academy is a private, nonprofit school for children ages 3 to 16 living with autism spectrum disorders. Their goal is to transform the lives of families affected by autism through piloting, evaluating, delivering and disseminating innovative ideas and interventions for these children.
According to a recent study, one in 54 Utah children is diagnosed along the autism spectrum. “Families living in the midst of autism face many challenges. The work that Clear Horizons is doing in their community is making a huge difference in not only creating effective learning environments for the children, but also building up their families. It’s our honor to support them in their efforts,” said Greg Reed, vice president of member service for Security Service Federal Credit Union.
