Security Service Federal Credit Union again named one of San Antonio’s Top Workplaces
SAN ANTONIO, TX (October 28, 2013) — For the fourth year in a row, Security Service Federal Credit Union (SSFCU) was named one of San Antonio’s top workplaces for 2013 by the San Antonio Express-News. SSFCU was recognized with a fourth-place win in the large-employers category, moving up the list from eighth place in 2012. The Top Workplace Award recognizes companies and organizations based solely on surveys about the workplace, conducted by a workplace metrics company and completed by randomly selected employees from each group.
The company profiles noted SSFCU’s outstanding service and outreach to the Hispanic community, its “Best in Class” indirect auto lending program, operation of its student-run branch at Clark High School and its competitive benefits program with special mention of the credit union’s “CU Fit” wellness program.
SSFCU President Jim Laffoon was singled out and received a special award for leadership based on employees’ comments expressing their confidence that he will lead the company to continued success. They noted his vision for the company and for, “…creating an energetic environment where we all have a voice and can suggest things to change.”
