Security Service Federal Credit Union donates more than $34,000 to children’s hospitals

Donations to provide medical care for children in three states

Security Service Federal Credit Union recently wrapped up the annual Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) campaign, aimed at raising awareness and donations to support hospitals in the regions the credit union serves.  The credit union collected and donated $34,360 for CMN hospitals in Texas, Colorado and Utah.

“As a network of nonprofit hospitals, CMN relies on donations and community support to provide life-saving care for children,” said Brandy Ralston-Lint, senior vice president of corporate communications for Security Service Federal Credit Union.  “We are grateful to our members and our communities which recognize the importance of supporting our children’s hospitals.”

Marie Osmond, one of the original founders of CMN, acted as spokesperson for the credit union campaign for the second year.  The donations will go to the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio, El Paso Children’s Hospital, Driscoll Children’s Hospital, Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital, and Children’s Hospital Colorado.

Children’s Miracle Network has been raising funds for children's hospitals, medical research, and community awareness of children's health issues since 1983. They help support 170 member hospitals that provide 32 million treatments for children each year. Since its inception, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals have raised more than $5 billion, most of it one dollar at a time.
