BALTIMORE, MD (May 9, 2025) |
Securityplus Federal Credit Union proudly participated in the Health and Wellness Fair hosted by the University of Maryland Rehabilitation & Orthopaedic Institute on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. Held at 2200 Kernan Drive in Baltimore, the event welcomed the community for a day of free health education, wellness resources, and interactive demonstrations designed to support total well-being—including physical, mental, and financial health.
As part of its commitment to community empowerment, Securityplus introduced attendees to its Financial Journey Map and Budget Toolkit—innovative resources designed to help individuals and families make informed financial decisions. The Securityplus team, including Jeff Gehris and Cheryl Wizzard, engaged participants with one-on-one guidance, budgeting strategies, and credit education materials tailored to meet people wherever they are on their financial journey.
“At Securityplus, we believe financial health is a vital part of overall well-being,” said Jeff Gehris, Chief Operating Officer. “We’re honored to partner with the University of Maryland Medical System in their efforts to support the community’s wellness journey—not only physically, but financially. Our mission is to meet people where they are and help them build a stronger financial future.”
Attendees also explored a wide variety of holistic health offerings throughout the event, including mental health education, fitness and yoga classes, healthy cooking demos, and community health screenings. The fair featured interactive sessions led by professionals such as Coach Maya, Lift with Tiff, and Chef Brian, as well as relaxing wellness experiences like Reiki sound demos and guided meditation.
Securityplus’s participation reinforces its ongoing mission to promote financial literacy as a pillar of total wellness and to connect with Baltimore residents through meaningful community engagement.
