Securityplus Federal Credit Union demonstrates corporate social responsibility with generous donation to the center for urban families
BALTIMORE, MD (November 22, 2023) — Representatives from Securityplus Federal Credit Union proudly presented the Center for Urban Families with generous monetary donation, demonstrating its unwavering commitment to corporate social responsibility and making a positive impact on its community.
“At Securityplus, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. By supporting charitable organizations and causes that align with our mission, we’re contributing to the betterment of our community and helping to provide critical resources to those in need. This donation will help ensure that the Center for Urban Families can continue to empower those living in urban communities by breaking the cycle of poverty, strengthening families and promoting self-sufficiency, ultimately enhancing the financial well-being of community,” said Obi Ndukwe, Chief Experience and Impact Officer for Securityplus Federal Credit Union.
In September Securityplus held a Community Shred Day in which over 600 community members turned out, shredding 23 tons of paper, and reinforcing the importance of secure document disposal within our community. As part of the event, Securityplus and their corporate partners raised $5,000 for the Center for Urban Families, a Baltimore non-profit, community organization that provides low-income individuals and families with the skills they need to achieve long-term personal success and economic stability. The monies raised will fund programs that focus on reducing employment barriers through job training and education.
