Securityplus Federal Credit Union drives change for local children  and families through PlayYellow Charity Golf Classic sponsorship

BALTIMORE, MD (June 4, 2026) |

Securityplus Federal Credit Union proudly served  as a sponsor of the 2026 PlayYellow Charity Golf  Classic hosted by the Maryland & District of  Columbia Credit Union Association on May 20,  2026, at Hobbit’s Glen Golf Club.

The annual event brought together credit union  leaders, community partners, and supporters from  across the region to raise awareness and support  for Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, including  Johns Hopkins Children’s Center in Baltimore and  Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C.

Funds raised through the event help provide critical medical care, specialized equipment,  research, and family support resources that directly impact children and families throughout the  communities these hospitals serve.

Representing Securityplus Federal Credit Union at the event were Mike Barr, Chief Executive  Officer; Janae Johnson; Jeffrey Gehris, Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy &  Experience Officer; Janiel Cook; Anthony Carpenter; Elijah Thornton; Brenton Smith; and  Obinna Ndukwe, Chief People & Impact Officer.

“At Securityplus, we believe community impact goes far beyond banking,” said Mike Barr, Chief  Executive Officer of Securityplus Federal Credit Union. “Supporting initiatives like the PlayYellow  Charity Golf Classic allows us to invest in causes that make a meaningful difference in the lives  of children and families across our region. The PlayYellow initiative continues to unite organizations around a shared mission of improving  the lives of children through healthcare support and community partnership. “We are grateful to the Maryland/DC Credit Union Association and everyone involved in  organizing such an impactful event,” added Obinna Ndukwe. “Events like this demonstrate the  power of partnership and what can happen when organizations come together around a  purpose larger than themselves.”
