SECU’s popular discount theme park ticket program begins April 3rd!

RALEIGH, NC (March 30, 2017) — Spring has officially arrived and for State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) members, that means the start of theme park season.  Through a longstanding partnership between SECU and the State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC), SECU members can purchase 2017 seasonal discount tickets to their favorite amusement parks from April 3rd through September 29th at any of SECU’s 257 branch offices statewide.  This season’s lineup of area attractions will include:  Busch Gardens-Williamsburg, Carowinds, Dollywood, Jungle Rapids Family Fun Park, Kings Dominion, Myrtle Waves, Ocean Breeze-Virginia Beach, Tweetsie Railroad and Emerald Pointe Wet ’n Wild.

The Credit Union began its popular ticket consignment program with SEANC 15 years ago, offering family fun and entertainment to members at significant cost savings.  With the April 3rd starting date quickly approaching, SECU employees across the state are gearing up for the early rush of members coming in for tickets, ready to enjoy the warm temperatures and outdoor activities.

“We’ve already had an enormous amount of telephone calls from members asking when they can purchase tickets,” said Margaret Gordon, Financial Services Manager at SECU’s Roanoke Rapids branch.  “Members absolutely love the program, the cost savings and the convenience of being able to purchase them locally.  Our branch staff sold nearly 1,900 tickets last year, many of them to Kings Dominion and Busch Gardens because of our close proximity to the Virginia border.”
