Sewerage and Water board employees federal credit union selects IMM’s TotaleChecks

LINDEN, NJ (December 4, 2013) -- IMM, a provider of innovative eSignature, workflow and document solutions for financial institutions, today announced that Sewerage and Water Board Employees Federal Credit Union has implemented TotaleChecks.

Louisiana-based SWBE FCU needed a more cost effective alternative to buying, stocking and managing pre-printed negotiable official checks and money orders. With IMM’s TotaleChecks, the credit union can create and print custom laser checks on-demand. The solution follows appropriate signature approval parameters, ensuring that the authorized signatures are automatically applied to checks. The resulting images are seamlessly stored with their associated indices into SWBE FCU’s imaging solution, which simplifies research and retrieval.

Mindy Taylor, manager and CEO, SWBE FCU, who previously facilitated credit union audits, had an appreciation for the value that a laser check system could bring to the institution. She worked with IMM at another credit union and noted that its customer service is always available, accessible and responsive. Of SWBE FCU’s TotaleChecks implementation, she said, “Converting from the old check process has made such a positive impact from our frontline to the back office. The time we now save is noticeable, and the hassle removed is priceless.”

“Credit unions are still realizing the cost saving, efficiency and security benefits of eliminating paper checks,” said John Levy, co-founder and EVP of IMM, and board member of ESRA (Electronic Signature & Records Association). “With TotaleChecks, they gain end-to-end electronic transactions including rules-based authorized signatures. It is a simple change that takes a big step in the right direction for instituting a paperless environment.”
