On Saturday, October 29, Sikorsky Credit Union partnered with Harlow, Adams & Friedman, P.C. to host the 11th Annual Milford Trick or Trot 5K Run/Walk. The Milford Beth-El Center received over $31,000 in proceeds from this community event.
The mission of the Beth-El Center is to alleviate homelessness and hunger in the Milford area by providing shelter and food service programs. They also offer long-term solutions for individuals and families to help them reclaim their lives.
This family-friendly 5k attracted over 300 runners and many wore their favorite Halloween costume. The runners/walkers enjoyed a scenic route through the back roads of Milford viewing Fort Trumbull Beach and the Milford Harbor. Breakfast was available for all who attended, and entertainment was provided by The Elwoods.
“I was excited to be part of this event again this year. We are grateful for organizations like the Beth-El Center that provide helpful services for those in need” mentioned Ken Ferrari, Senior Vice President at Sikorsky Credit Union. He also added, “Thank you to our friends at Harlow, Adams, and Friedman, P.C. who worked with us to organize this event and to every member of the community that supported and generously donated to this important cause.”
