Saylent maintains fast-paced growth with second addition to senior management team in two months

FRANKLIN, MA (November 26, 2014) —  Saylent, which provides data analytics software and services to financial institutions that improve profitability and product innovation, announced today that it has again expanded its senior management team, adding Ryan Buckley as the company’s CIO.  Mr. Buckley will leverage his extensive operational, banking and security experience to lead all technology, operations, software development and support delivery functions for the company. He will also manage the security and compliance requirements for Saylent.

Prior to joining Saylent, Mr. Buckley was senior vice president and CIO at UniBank for Savings (UFS Bancorp), a progressive community banking group in Massachusetts.  There he headed information systems and services, including infrastructure, enterprise applications, customer E-Banking channels, and cloud payment applications such as Unipay Gold and UniPay Direct, a national payments solution in the municipal banking space.

Before UniBank, Mr. Buckley served as vice president and head of information security at Citizens Bank.  There, he led the corporate information security organization for this top 10 US bank. Responsibilities included corporate security architecture and policy, business line security consulting, user access administration, security operations and threat management, and cyber-attack incident response.  He also worked as part of a global security management team with other Royal Bank of Scotland Group banks including Ulster of Ireland, Coutts von Ernst of Switzerland, RBS WorldPay, RBS Greenwich Capital and RBS Global Markets.

“Ryan’s operational excellence combined with his technology and banking experience make him the perfect fit for our CIO role,” said Tyson Nargassans, president and CEO of Saylent. “His background will benefit not only our business as it continues its rapid growth, but also our clients, as he brings a deep understanding of what banks need from both a software and a security perspective.”
