LAS VEGAS, NV (February 12, 2026) |
Silver State Schools Credit Union (SSSCU) is celebrating its 75th anniversary by reflecting on a legacy shaped not only by longevity, but by meaningful action through supporting educators, students, and families through sustained community investment across Southern Nevada.
Leading into this milestone, SSSCU marked a year defined by generosity and service. In 2025, the credit union reinvested more than $16.7 Million back into members and the greater community through dividends and charitable giving. In addition, SSSCU continued to support the community through Financial Education initiatives and hands-on volunteer efforts led by employees across Southern Nevada, turning 75 years of success into meaningful, people-first impact.
Voted as the “Best Credit Union” for the 8th consecutive year in a row in the Las Vegas Review-Journal’s annual “Best of Las Vegas” reader’s poll and, separately, honored as the Best Credit Union and Bank in the 2025 FOX5 Las Vegas Viewer’s Choice Awards, SSSCU was originally established in 1951 to serve Clark County educators. Since then, SSSCU has evolved into a financial institution that is now open to everyone in Nevada while remaining steadfast in the educational-based values it was founded on. Focused on helping members make informed decisions at every life stage, SSSCU continues to evolve through Financial Literacy and Financial Wellness as well as member-focused innovation in all areas ranging from modern digital capabilities to products and services designed to meet member needs.
“For 75 years, Silver State Schools Credit Union has been redefining what community banking can be – proving that when you put people over profit, our surrounding communities thrive,” said Scott A. Arkills, President/CEO of SSSCU. “I am both privileged and humbled to be part of this milestone and one that celebrates not only where we’ve been, but also our continued commitment to building stronger financial futures for generations of today and those to come.”
As SSSCU looks ahead, the Credit Union remains focused on growth that is thoughtful, inclusive, and mission-driven — continuing its legacy as a trusted financial partner for life.
