SkyPoint FCU to appear on reality TV series Opportunity Knock$ airing on PBS
The designated CDFI, was selected to provide financing to family in the DMV toward achieving the American Dream, series to air in May.
GERMANTOWN, MD (April 15, 2024) — SkyPoint Federal Credit Union (SkyPoint), a community-based financial institution, who makes banking simple and accessible, announces that they will be featured on season two of the award-winning reality TV series, Opportunity Knock$, airing on PBS, as the financing institution that provides financing to a family in the DMV to help them overcome their financial challenges and build a better life. The series is set to air on Saturday, May 4 at 5:30 ET, on WETA Metro and Sunday, May 5 at 10 a.m. ET on WETA PBS HDTV.
Opportunity Knock$, is designed to connect viewers facing financial challenges with coaching and financial services that help families, and by extension their communities, build financial resiliency. As the only designated Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) in Montgomery County, Maryland, SkyPoint was selected due to their unique commitment to help its members and the communities it serves, gain access to the financial services needed to achieve financial independence and prosper.

SkyPoint will host a premiere event in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, exclusive to the media and invited guest, D.C. Mayor Bowser. Opportunity Knock$ Coach Jean Chatzky, the featured family SkyPoint provided the financing to, and the show’s producers will be in attendance.
