HOUSTON, TX (October 11, 2016) — Smart Financial Credit Union is pleased to announce the appointment of Urjit Patel as the Senior Vice President of Member Experience, effective immediately.
With more than 25 years of leadership experience in the financial industry, Patel’s experience includes, Sales Management, Marketing, Operations, and Organizational Development. He previously served as Regional Vice President for Fairwinds Credit Union in Orlando, Florida from 2009-2016. In his role, he managed all aspects of branch management, sales growth, operational effectiveness, and enterprise wide project development.
Patel was a trustee of the Orlando/Winter Springs Chamber of Commerce and volunteer of United Way. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from University of Central Florida. A native of Orlando, Florida, Patel currently lives in Houston, Texas.
