– South Carolina Federal Credit Union raised more than $31,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which benefits MUSC Children’s Hospital in Charleston and Palmetto Heath Children’s Hospital in Columbia. In Charleston, the credit union raised $29,610 for MUSC Children’s Hospital.

“Raising money for our local children’s hospital is a cause our employees and members believe in and as a result I’m proud to make this donation to MUSC Children’s Hospital,” said Scott Woods, President & CEO, South Carolina Federal.

Throughout July, South Carolina Federal held their annual Children’s Miracle Network campaign.  This year’s Olympic-themed campaign raised more than $31,000 by selling CMN Miracle Balloons and other fundraising initiatives.

South Carolina Federal sponsors a number of programs throughout the year supporting MUSC Children’s Hospital as part of the national Credit Union for Kids initiative.  Since 1994, South Carolina Federal has raised more than $375,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals aims to help as many children as possible by raising money for children’s hospitals and to keep the funds in the community they were raised to help local children.

The credit union will make a donation of $1,759 to Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital in Columbia.
