South Jersey Federal Credit Union hires Daniel Sulpizio
DEPTFORD, NJ (February 15, 2019) — South Jersey Federal Credit Union (SJFCU) welcomes new Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Daniel (Danny) Sulpizio. He has over 36 years of banking experience that has included consumer and commercial lending, relationship management, sales and marketing and government banking.
Before joining the Credit Union, Sulpizio served as Parke Bank’s SVP/Director of Retail Banking. where he was responsible for all retail banking activities, sales and marketing and municipal government relationships.
He was the Senior Government Banking Officer at Sovereign Bank, where he was responsible for developing and managing all local municipal government activities in seven counties in New Jersey. During his 11 years at PNC Bank, he held numerous leadership positions including the role of Regional Business Banking Manager for Southern New Jersey.
In 2018, he was named Business Person of the Year by the Gloucester County Chamber of Commerce and in 2017, was selected as one of the Men of the Year by South Jersey Magazine. Mr. Sulpizio was also selected in 2017 to serve a one year commitment as an Honorary Commander at Joint Base MDL as part of the 32nd Air Refueling Squad, and one of the 2015 Executives of the Year by South Jersey Biz Magazine.
Sulpizio is actively involved in many volunteer positions within the community. He is President of Gloucester County Habitat for Humanity, immediate past president of the South Jersey Bankers Security Association, board member of the Citizens Crime Commission of Philadelphia, member of the Gloucester County Elder Protection Committee and holds an appointment to the Gloucester County Workforce Development Board. In addition he is active in many Chambers of Commerce in Southern New Jersey. He is frequently asked to speak to students at local schools about the importance of establishing and using credit and financial literacy.
