Southwest Montana Community Federal Credit Union appoints Teri Krakowka as President/CEO
ANACONDA, MT (November 8, 2023) — The Board of Directors of Southwest Montana Community Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce the selection of Teri Krakowka as the credit union’s next President/Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Krakowka will succeed Tom Dedman who is retiring from Southwest Montana Community Federal Credit Union after 12 years of dedicated service.
“We had many qualified candidates, so we were pleased that our best choice was already on our team,” said Mike Hahm, chairman of the SWMCFCU Board. He continued with, “Teri brings experience and enthusiasm to the role; I speak for the entire board by saying that we’re looking forward to our next chapter with her at the helm.”
“I am truly excited to have the opportunity to lead Southwest Montana Community Federal Credit Union. After 29 years, I have some great ideas for serving our members and community,” said Krakowka. “I am thankful to the Board for their confidence and support.”
Krakowka started her credit union career as general office support while still in high school and continued during her breaks while a college student at Montana Tech, where she graduated in 2001. Since that time, she has served as the Chief Financial Officer. Teri has an impressive history of service currently as Rocky Mountain Chapter President and a member of the Millenium Corporate Credit Union Supervisory Committee.
She is a 2017 graduate of Western CUNA Management School and was honored as a graduate assistant in 2018. She has provided strategic insights to League Service Group as a board member, Fiserv as a member of their Enhancement Review Committee, and Open Solutions as the chairperson to their Software Review Committee.
A native of Anaconda, Teri is active in her community serving on the Anaconda Parent-Teacher Association and the Anaconda Chamber of Commerce, in both instances rising to the treasurer role.
