Speakers announced for CUNA HR/TD Council Conference in Hollywood, CA

MADISON, WI (January 20, 2015) – The CUNA HR/TD Council announced today that registration is now open for the 2015 CUNA HR/TD Council Conference, April 22-25, 2015 in Hollywood, California.

“The CUNA HR/TD Council Conference is the premier learning and networking event for credit union human resources, training and development professionals,” said Robert Davis SPHR, Chair of the Executive Committee for the HR/TD Council. “It’s a place for professionals to come together, learn new things, share ideas and shine like the stars they are.”

The conference will kick off with two optional preconference workshops, Labor, Employment and Human Resource Law Update with Aaron Zandy, Esq., Managing Partner, FordHarrison, and OnBoarding: Let the Employee Engagement Begin! with Beverly Purtell, Management Consultant.

Throughout the conference, attendees will hear from influential speakers and industry experts, including keynote speaker Jackie Freiberg, author and motivational speaker. Freiberg’s presentation will discuss engagement and culture, using Southwest Airlines’ success story as an example.

In addition to Freiberg’s presentation, attendees will attend networking, breakout and general sessions that cover a wide range of topics related to credit union human resources and training. Session highlights include:

  • Credit Union Industry Update
  • Opportunities for Collaboration with the Foundation
  • Using Humor to Maximize Employee Contributions

The CUNA HR/TD Council will also award Excellence in HR, Training & Development Awards to credit unions exemplifying excellence in the field. The awards are reserved for the HR/TD elite and recognize best practices in employee engagement, management practice and strategic leadership. Award applications are due February 13, 2015.
