Sperry Associates Federal Credit Union hires new Director of Marketing

Member-owned financial institution expands management team

Sperry Associates Federal Credit Union (SAFCU), one of Long Island’s oldest financial institutions, has a hired a new Director of Marketing - Richard Murdocco.

Murdocco is a policy professional with experience that spans both the private and public sectors. Previously, Murdocco has worked with Teachers Federal Credit Union, a $7 billion financial institution based in Hauppauge, New York, and Progressive Credit Union, a $300 million financial institution that was located in Manhattan. At SAFCU, Murdocco will be responsible for leading the credit union’s marketing efforts, and will work with both the CFO and CEO on strategic communicative analysis.

Healy, SAFCU’s Chief Executive Officer said. “By focusing on both our friendly member service and SAFCU’s accomplishments in the community, we look forward to working with Richard to share the benefits of credit union membership to a wider audience.”

Murdocco has his BA in Political Science from Fordham University, and his MA in Public Policy from Stony Brook University, where he is also an adjunct professor in their public policy graduate program. He began his new role with SAFCU in the beginning of the month.
