FALCON HEIGHTS, MN (May 23, 2016) — SPIRE Credit Union hosted a groundbreaking ceremony to commence the construction of its new full-service branch to be located at 195 Radio Drive in Woodbury, Minn.
Credit union industry leaders, community leaders, Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce members, construction and design team members, architects, and several SPIRE employees and volunteers were in attendance at this event.
Special guests Lisa Weik, Washington County Commissioner, and Kathy Bayliss, Woodbury Area Chamber of Commerce Board Chair, addressed the crowd, welcoming SPIRE to its new Woodbury location and thanking them for their long-standing commitment to the community. John Wendland, General Counsel for the Minnesota Credit Union Network, was also there to support the celebration.
SPIRE has had a presence in the community for nearly 20 years, opening its first Woodbury location in 1996. Located on Radio Drive, just south of I94, their new location will offer greater accessibility to members and expanded, Saturday service hours. Additional improved features include a 3-lane drive-thru, and a 24-Hour Drive- up ATM to offer the latest in technology services for members. All interior and exterior lighting will be LED, greatly reducing SPIRE’s energy footprint.

The 5,000+ square-foot branch, expected to open September 2016, was designed by RSP Architects and is being built by Kraus-Anderson Construction Company.
