SPIRE Credit Union hosts Minneapolis Aquatennial celebration at CHS Field
FALCON HEIGHTS, MN (August 31, 2016) — SPIRE Credit Union hosted Anchors Aweigh! night at CHS Field on August 4, 2016. St. Paul Saints fans were greeted by the 2016-2017 Minneapolis Aquatennial Ambassadors, which includes SPIRE Credit Union’s President & CEO, Dan Stoltz, the Aquatennial Commodore; and SPIRE’s VP of Member & Partner Development, Jim Ganger, Aquatennial Captain. SPIRE made a splash in front of nearly 9,000 in attendance, (7,200 is considered a sellout). Limited edition 2017 Aquatennial Commodore bobbleheads were given out to the first 1,000 fans, and all fans received a SPIRE paper wave crown.
After driving Archie, SPIRE’s 1952 work truck, to the mound alongside St. Paul Saints player, Angelo Songco, Dan Stoltz threw out the first pitch of the game.
The 2016-2017 Minneapolis Aquatennial Ambassadors led the crowd in a rousing rendition of Take Me Out to the Ball Game during the 7th inning stretch. Other events included the Minneapolis Aquatennial Captains escorting Pablo Pigcaso onto the field, and participating in the SPIRE Tire race.
SPIRE has twenty+ year partnership with the St. Paul Saints minor league baseball franchise, and is a founding partner of CHS Field. SPIRE received naming rights to the right field home run porch that sits atop an 18-foot wall at the ballpark.
