SRFCU celebrates 50 years, rebrands as VITAL FCU

SPARTANBURG, SC (March 28, 2014) –A half-century ago hospital employees started a new financial institution to serve their needs in Spartanburg County. Now in the Golden anniversary year, Spartanburg Regional Federal Credit Union (SRFCU) is celebrating with an important announcement for the future. SRFCU will now be known as V ITAL FCU. “This is not a buyout or merger.” said Pat West, CEO of VITAL FCU. “We remain a strong healthy credit union. VITAL FCU signals the credit union evolving to serve our members for the next 50 years and beyond.”

Members can expect the same top-quality service will remain as the name changes for a vibrant credit union. VITAL FCU will continue to be a leader in new technology with a mobile app being added this year to compliment many other conveniences. In 2013, the credit union introduced new features like 24/7 lending, e-signatures and MoneyDesktop ™.

“Throughout 2014, we’ll be celebrating the history of our credit union while also looking ahead to what is in store for the next 50 years,” West said.
