St. Cloud Federal Credit Union announces Platinum Sponsorship of June 24 Tanner’s Team walk/run

ST. CLOUD, MN (June 16, 2017) — St. Cloud Federal Credit Union is proud to announce they are the Platinum Sponsor for Tanner’s Team 7^th annual walk/run, the primary event sponsor. The event will be held at Bob Cross Park in Sauk Rapids on June 24. In addition to being the primary event sponsor, the credit union is paying for nine employees and their families to participate in the event. One of those employees is Jed A. Meyer, President and CEO, who is participating in another way to help raise funds by donating personal money for every minute it takes him to complete the run.

St. Cloud Federal Credit Union’s mission includes purposeful action within the community; Tanner’s Team Walk/Run is a perfect partnership because they help families with children that have a life-threatening illness. “When I heard about Tanner’s Team, I was inspired because it is for a meaningful cause that helps families. Like us, they look to help relieve financial pressures so families can focus on what matters in life. We are also excited to participate in an event that rallies our communities together!” stated Mr. Meyer.

Tanner’s Team Foundation was created in 2011 to help families with children who are fighting a life-threatening illness or serious injury in Central Minnesota. The foundation was inspired by Tanner Fuls, who was diagnosed at age 11 with Myelodysplastic Syndrome, a form of pre-leukemia, who passed away in 2010. Throughout the years the foundation has helped over 150 families with over $122,000 in grants.

Cindy Hank-Fuls, Tanner’s Mom, is the event organizer and worked with St. Cloud Federal Credit Union to create the Platinum sponsorship. She stated, “We are so excited to have our first Platinum sponsor this year. St. Cloud Federal Credit Union has been great to work with and we are proud to have them part of Tanner’s Team.”
