St. Helens Community Credit Union to open new branch on highway

ST. HELENS, OR (April 10, 2014) -- St. Helens Community Federal Credit Union (St. Helens Community) plans to construct a 2,500 SF retail branch at the corner of Highway 30 and McBride Street in St. Helens. The credit union’s drive-thru ATM is currently located on the site.

The announcement comes after months of preparation, planning, and reviewing member requests for a more centralized, St. Helens location.

“When members began asking for a more convenient location that could also be open on Saturdays, we listened,” stated St. Helens Community President and CEO Brooke Van Vleet. “Opening a well-situated branch on the highway will be a great opportunity to help our members save time and money.”

Administration offices and other support services will remain at the current St. Helens building once the move to the new location is complete. The change will allow for the credit union to manage current space needs and support future growth.

All branch locations will remain open during construction, with the new branch expected to open later this year.

St. Helens Community Credit Union (www.shcu.org) proudly serves its members throughout Columbia, Clatsop, and Cowlitz Counties as well as Sauvie Island, Oregon as the area’s longstanding, not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative.
