2010 has been another challenging year for many families in Columbia County. Jobs in Manufacturing and Education have declined from September 2009 to September of 2010 (http://www.qualityinfo.org/olmisj/CES?action=rs54&areacode=04000009). To help local families in need during the holiday season, St. Helens Community Federal Credit Union and Auto Solution are hosting a food drive and fund-raising event for the Columbia Pacific Food Bank from November 1st to December 15th at branch locations in Scappoose, St Helens, and Rainier. Donations of two (or more) non-perishable food items or $4 cash donation will receive receipt of donation, mention on the credit union lobby TVs, and entry into a drawing for a chance to win one of two $500 Visa Gift cards. Entries will be drawn December 17th in time for holiday shopping.
