State Employees’ Credit Union has just the ticket to help members usher in warm weather

RALEIGH, NC (March 23, 2016) — If you’re ready for a thrill or a splash of fun to help usher in the warm weather, then State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) has just the ticket for you – a trip to your favorite amusement park!  Through an ongoing partnership with the State Employees Association of North Carolina (SEANC), the Credit Union will begin its 2016 seasonal theme park ticket program for members, which runs from April 1st through the end of September.  SECU theme park enthusiasts can visit any of the cooperative’s statewide branches to purchase discount tickets for the following lineup of area attractions this season: Busch Gardens-Williamsburg, Carowinds, Jungle Rapids Family Fun Park, Kings Dominion, Myrtle Waves, Dollywood, Tweetsie Railroad and Emerald Pointe Wet ’n Wild.

The Credit Union has been offering this seasonal ticket consignment program as a benefit to SECU and SEANC members for over fourteen years.  The program continues to be extremely popular with members throughout North Carolina, with ticket sales reaching a record high near $5.5 million in 2015.

SECU’s Boone-Blowing Rock Road office is one of many branches in the state reporting a high volume of ticket sales each season.  Ann Thomas, Financial Services Manager and ticket coordinator for the branch states, “The theme park ticket program is very successful and one that our members look forward to every year.  SECU’s partnership with SEANC to serve as the delivery channel plays a key role in offering members the huge convenience of being able to purchase tickets at a savings, either locally or at any statewide branch.  By season’s end last year, we sold tickets for every attraction – a total of over 1,000 tickets, with Tweetsie Railroad and Carowinds being our most popular.”

“We are thrilled to team up with our trusted partners at State Employees’ Credit Union once again to offer state employees and SECU members great prices on theme park tickets,” said SEANC Executive Director Mitch Leonard.  “With convenient branch locations throughout North Carolina, this partnership is a great benefit to all members who take advantage of the savings the ticket program offers during the spring and summer months.”
