Statement from CUNA’s Nussle on passing of former Sen. Carl Levin
WASHINGTON, DC (July 30, 2021) — Credit Union National Association (CUNA) President/CEO Jim Nussle issued the following statement on the passing of former U.S. Senator Carl Levin of Michigan.
“A champion of the little guy, Carl Levin was a strong supporter of the credit union difference, and his leadership benefitted millions of people. It was an honor to serve alongside him in Washington, D.C., and his family is in my thoughts in this difficult moment.”
Jim Nussle and Carl Levin served together in Congress from 1991-2007.
