STCU promotes Flood to Vice President of Lending

(April 21, 2015) — STCU recently promoted David Flood to Vice President of Lending. He served as the credit union’s Director of Consumer Lending the last three years.

Flood started as a loan and member service officer in 2000 and he worked his way up the ranks to the senior management team. During his three year tenure as Director of Consumer Lending, STCU’s consumer loan portfolio grew from $574 to $888 million.

“David is an integral part of STCU,” said President and CEO Tom Johnson. “He’s worked hard and helped us grow into a $2.1 billion organization.”

Flood recently earned his master’s degree of business administration from Eastern Washington University. He graduated from University of Idaho with two bachelor’s degrees (finance and accounting).

He also is a graduate of the Western Credit Union National Association’s Management School — where he earned high honors and is in the organization’s academic hall of fame.

Flood lives in Hayden and he is an avid fly fisherman. He spends his weekends at his cabin in Montana on the Clark Fork River. Flood graduated from Mullan High School in 1989.
