STCU welcomes chief marketing officer

SPOKANE, WA (September 26, 2019) — Marty Dickinson has been named STCU’s new chief marketing officer. She will oversee the credit union’s brand marketing, community relations, and facilities teams.

A Washington State University graduate, Dickinson joins STCU from Skye Strategies, her marking and branding consulting firm. An active community and business development advocate, she has led efforts to establish the Elson Floyd College of Medicine at WSU and pass a long-proposed Central Valley School District construction bond. During her six years as president of Downtown Spokane Partnership, she helped secure nearly $3 billion in downtown development.

“Marty has earned a reputation for helping the community achieve great things,” says Ezra Eckhardt, STCU president and CEO. “She epitomizes our brand promise, ‘Here for good.’”

In addition to her community development efforts, Dickinson brings extensive financial industry leadership experience, including three years as vice president of marketing at Sterling Bank in Spokane, and four years as executive vice president of culture at Umpqua Bank in Portland.

She remains an active member of the Spokane Public Facilities Board, the Association of Washington Businesses Board of Directors, and the Regence Blue Shield Community Board. Washington Governor Jay Inslee recently appointed Dickinson to the WSU Board of Regents, as well.

“STCU is an organization that I have long admired for their exceptional service to their members and their community. I can’t wait to be a part of such a special place,” says Dickinson.
