PSECU Financial Services (PFS), available through CUSO Financial Services, L.P.*, promoted Stephen J. Landersman, Certified Financial Planner (CFP), to be its newest Wealth Advisor on June 1. Following nearly ten years of service with PFS, Landersman, in his new role, will make his retirement planning, asset management, and advanced estate planning expertise more readily available to members of PSECU, Pennsylvania’s largest credit union.
PSECU, through its relationship with CUSO Financial Services, L.P. (CFS), makes financial planning services available to its members under PFS.
“Steve has demonstrated PFS’s core tenets by putting PSECU members’ interests first and by providing high-caliber advice and counsel to his clients,” explained CFS Program Manager at PFS Brad Decker. “With his elevation to Wealth Advisor, the organization will leverage Steve’s knowledge and experience in the industry to better serve PSECU members – helping them to invest in their dreams.”
With more than 30 years of industry experience, Landersman uses a comprehensive approach to the financial planning process that evaluates not only investment concerns, but also protection and risk management strategies to tailor recommendations to each client’s individual needs. He is licensed to do business in AZ, CA, CO, DE, FL, GA, ID, IN, MD, MS, MT, NV, NJ, NM, NY, NC, PA, SC, TX, VA, WA, and WV.
Landersman works to help make sure that each of his clients is appropriately positioned to reach their financial goals and needs. By utilizing a strict financial planning approach when working with his clients, coupled with cutting-edge software, he strives to take the complex topics of his client’s financial life and explain in understandable terms how everything fits together.
“My clients need to know and understand how their investments, insurance, and income interact with their lives. I think the context of their situation is what’s missing in many cases. How it all fits into the big picture, and what is their place in that framework, that’s what really matters to them. We help them to find any gaps in their plan and fill them,” Landersman explained.
Landersman’s dedication and high-quality service has earned him seven Pacesetter Awards. Presented by CFS, the Pacesetter Awards recognize advisors for production and commitment to their clients.
Prior to joining CFS at PFS, Landersman worked for Financial Network Investment Corp., MetLife, Invest Financial, and served as the principal for his own financial planning firm, Capital City Financial Planning.
A Harrisburg native, Landersman is also active in the community. He has been involved with the Harrisburg Jr. Chamber of Commerce, including service on its board of directors. He is also an avid auto enthusiast and has served as President of the Appalachian Sports Car Club and as a past Regional Executive of the Sports Car Club of America
