DuPage Credit Union is excited to announce that Senior Vice President of Sales, Sue Welsh, was recently promoted to Senior Vice President of Residential Lending and Organizational Sales.
“This is my dream job,” said Welsh, who came to the credit union one year ago with an extensive background in the mortgage and retail banking industries. She will oversee the credit union’s award-winning mortgage team, which has been ranked the number one credit union mortgage lender in DuPage, Kane and Kendall counties for six consecutive years by the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA). HMDA rankings were based on the number of mortgage closings per county by each financial institution during the 2013-2018 reporting periods.
“We have a really strong management team and a lot of opportunities for members in the current mortgage environment with product, pricing and service,” she added.
In 2019, DuPage Credit Union increased funded mortgages by more than 50% over 2018 totals. “We are looking forward to the 2019 HMDA data,” said Welsh, “we had a really solid year.”
Nora Hickey Named Residential Lending Sales Manager
Residential Lending Specialist Assistant Manager, Nora Hickey was promoted to Residential Lending Sales Manager. “I’m excited about the new challenge,” said Hickey. A 12-year team member of the credit union, she will oversee specialists at the Naperville Operations Center and work closely with the mortgage team representative at the credit union’s three branch office locations.
Hickey’s expertise in the mortgage field and exemplary member service has earned her five consecutive Five-Star Mortgage Professional Awards. This award is given each year to less than seven-percent of mortgage professionals in the Chicago metropolitan area.
