Summit Credit Union eases stress of homebuying with new CURB app
Free app includes property assessments, loan officer integration
MADISON, WI (April 4, 2017) — Summit Credit Union is making the homebuying process easier and more accessible for members by launching CURB, a new homebuying and mortgage loan app. The free Summit CURB app is the latest mobile update from the member-owned financial cooperative, which also offers a mobile-banking app for members and recently launched a mobile-based personal financial management tool, Money Minder.
“Buying a home can be extremely exciting and stressful at the same time,” said Summit Credit Union President and CEO Kim Sponem. “We created the Summit CURB app to provide our members with the tools they need to make the process as easy and convenient as possible, even when they are on the go.”
To streamline the homebuying process, CURB allows users to keep track of home listings and rates, view interior and exterior photos, and save personalized notes on their favorite properties. The app also provides details on respective neighborhoods, including area schools, shopping and even coffee shops.
A major differentiator, however, is that it helps potential homebuyers with important mortgage information, including mortgage and deed information, and a monthly mortgage payment calculator. Summit CURB users are also able to set notifications when their favorite homes or properties have price drops and rate changes. When users identify a property they like, the app includes a direct integration with nearby Summit mortgage loan officers available to schedule appointments or answer any questions.
The Summit CURB app is designed for use on iOS and Android devices. It is available to download in the App Store and Google Play Store. For additional information, visit www.summitcreditunion.com/CURB.
