Summit Credit Union expands financial education and wellness mission
Financial cooperative opens three branches, in Madison high school and Milwaukee area
MADISON, WI (April 4, 2016) — Summit Credit Union has expanded its reach in both the Madison and Milwaukee areas by opening locations in Madison’s East High School and the Milwaukee suburbs of Franklin and Muskego. The East High School location is the third Summit branch in a Madison-area high school, while Franklin and Muskego make eight Summit locations in the greater Milwaukee area.
“By opening a Summit branch in Madison’s East High School, we are empowering more area students with financial knowledge and skills as they begin their own financial lives,” said Summit CEO and President Kim Sponem. “We were so pleased to be contacted by East High School for this opportunity. East High School has been a great institution to Madison’s youth for decades, and we’re extremely proud to partner with them for the benefit of their students.”
In addition to East High School, Summit has locations in Madison’s LaFollette and Memorial high schools. The East HS branch is located at 2222 E. Washington Ave. and offers services to students and staff during lunch periods.
With the opening of the Franklin branch in February and Muskego coming in May, Summit broadens its footprint in the Milwaukee area. “We have been committed to serving members in the greater Milwaukee area for years,” said Sponem. “With our new locations, we look forward to making Summit’s services more accessible to existing Franklin and Muskego members and bringing financial education and wellness to new members throughout the area.”
The Franklin location offers full services and is led by Branch Manager Robert Cribb. Designed in tandem with Madison-based Strang, Inc., the 3,500-square-foot branch boasts modern teller pods to provide a more welcoming atmosphere. The location is about 15 miles from downtown Milwaukee at 7750 S. Lovers Lane Road.
Meanwhile, the Muskego location, also a full-service branch, is located at W156 S6840 Moorland Road. The branch officially opens in May and will be overseen by Branch Manager Christen O’Quinn. For more information on the three locations, visit www.summitcreditunion.com/locations.
