Summit Credit Union is Wisconsin’s #1 Mortgage Lender

Based on 2022 HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act) data, Summit provides more mortgages than any other mortgage lender in Wisconsin.

MADISON, WI (July 31, 2023) — Summit Credit Union, a member-owned financial cooperative, is the top mortgage lender in the state of Wisconsin this year, according to data collected under the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA). Based on 2022 HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure Act) data, released at the end of June 2023, Summit provides more mortgages than any other mortgage lender in Wisconsin

“I’m proud that we continue to provide the largest number of mortgages in Wisconsin,” said Summit Credit Union CEO & President Kim Sponem. “We believe we provide the best deal for members, so the more people we serve, the more good we can do. Our employees always listen to the needs of our members. If the need is a mortgage, home equity loan, line of credit or refinance, we work with them to deliver the right solution for them.”

Summit Credit Union offers many products including financial wellness training to help members make the right financial decisions. This includes excellent mortgage lending services for quick approvals, and business loan expertise.

Data was collected for 2022 under the HMDA, a federal law requiring annual disclosure of mortgage data by financial institutions and reported by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB).*

Summit provides mortgages and Home Equity Loans and Lines of Credit (HELOCs) throughout Wisconsin. The financial cooperative offers access to Mortgage Loan Officers at its locations, online and via video appointments, maximizing convenience and offering greater flexibility to members.
