Summit Credit Union named one of the “Best Places to Work” in Madison

Member-owned financial cooperative honored in Madison Magazine’s annual list.

MADISON, WI (September 24, 2019) — Summit Credit Union, the number one mortgage lender in Dane County*, has been named to Madison Magazine’s Best Places to Work list for 2019. The annual list honors Madison companies where employees feel they work at a great place.

“This honor is a testament to the people who make Summit such a special place to work,” said Summit CEO & President Kim Sponem. “Each of us works to create an environment we want to work in. We all build a culture of support, inclusion and growth driven by our shared commitment to our members’ financial wellness.”

Nominated organizations are judged using a company-wide survey measuring employees’ engagement and satisfaction with their overall work experience. Survey categories include communication and engagement, trust in management and leadership, team dynamics and more.

Survey responses are compiled and analyzed by Quantum Workplace, an independent employee engagement data analysis company. The nominated organizations with the highest aggregate levels of engagement are named to the Best Places to Work list.

Summit employees appreciate the development and growth opportunities within an environment that celebrates diversity and inclusion. Summit has received global recognition of its mission to create a culture of learning and development as a three-time winner of the Association for Talent Development’s BEST award, including in 2018. Employees also enjoy paid volunteer hours, paid time off on birthdays, student loan payback and a new headquarters featuring a meditation room, recreation areas, and other amenities designed to enhance employee health and wellness.
