(September 4, 2014) -- Christmas arrived early this year for members of DE Electric Cooperative, who recently attending the Coop’s Annual Meeting. On the evening of Aug. 19, more than 5,000 DEC members and their families visited the Ice Rink at the DE State Fairgrounds, to enjoy a community fair and chicken dinner, prior to the meeting. Community fair participant, Sussex County Federal Credit Union, celebrated Christmas in August for DEC members, by providing them with a holiday beach theme, decorated booth, complete with presents, special offers for guests as well as the chance to win a Flat Screen TV. Ms. Ella Ames was randomly selected as the lucky winner of the TV and stated “I have never won anything!” SCFCU Bus. Dev. Mgr. Deb Jewell stated, “Christmas truly did come early for Ms. Ames this year.
