Tamara Harrington, AVP of Finance at Bay Federal Credit Union, has completed the Financial Managers School. The program presents best practices and information necessary to build a solid foundation in asset/liability management.
The Financial Managers School is co-presented by the Financial Managers Society and the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The program was designed by CFOs for financial managers and consists of an interactive learning format to prepare financial managers for today’s bank finance management issues.
“I enjoyed the learning opportunity as well as working with peers in similar roles at credit unions and community banks,” Ms. Harrington said. “The curriculum at the Graduate School of Banking provided me with valuable insight into concepts used every day in financial institution management. The advanced courses gave me the tools I needed to enhance my contribution in the Credit Union’s financial decisions.”
As the AVP of Finance, Ms. Harrington’s primary role is to ensure the financial integrity of the Credit Union. She joined the Bay Federal team in 2006 as an Accounting Manager.
Ms. Harrington grew up in Santa Cruz County and has lived there most of her life. She and her husband of 39 years have adult twin daughters and a son, and were blessed with a granddaughter in 2019. Their weekends are filled with spending time with their granddaughter and playing competitive tennis.
