Tarrant County’s Credit Union’s Meghan Jamison, is awarded the Cornerstone Credit Union League’s Young Professional of the Year Award by the Cornerstone Credit Union League.
Jamison, who has been in the credit union industry for 9 years, is actively involved in the Cornerstone Young Professional program. Jamison served as a Cornerstone Young Professional Advisor during 2016-2017 and soon realized her passion. Jamison is an outstanding team member with Tarrant County’s Credit Union in the Lending/ Member Solutions department and also heads up the TCCU R.O.A.R Team, keeping staff members up-to-date with credit union advocacy events and efforts.
“Being named Cornerstone Credit Union League’s Young Professional of the Year is an immense honor; an honor that humbled me into silence at the YP Conference,” Jamison said.
Jamison began her credit union journey at a credit union in south Texas and then continued her journey with TCCU starting off as a teller, moving up through several departments into her current role. As Jamison transitioned she wasn’t shy or hesitant to jump into leadership, so she eagerly embraced the role of TCCU’s Advocacy Coordinator and proudly holds the title “captain” of TCCU’s R.O.A.R Team. Jamison volunteers regularly and willingly at TCCU community events, promotes Political Action Committee (PAC) involvement, and leads the Member Activation Program (M.A.P) at TCCU as a liaison, coaching staff members on how best to get the message out to members and constituents regarding current regulatory and legislative issues.
“I work hard to promote the credit union movement and to empower my fellow young professionals to do the same,” Jamison said. “I do it because I love this industry, the incredible people that I have the privilege of serving alongside, and the wonderful members who we represent.”
Tarrant County’s Credit Union is proud to house yet another Young Professional of the Year and strives to continue to produce great employees and leaders in the industry.
