TBA Credit Union (TBACU) celebrated 68 years of providing services to its members. Every year, to celebrate TBA Credit Union’s birthday, the Credit Union conducts a Pay-it-Forward celebration. The Credit Union donated a total of $13,500 to the community throughout the month of November. Nine teams were formed, consisting of board and team members, and nine non-profits were selected to receive a $1,500 donation.
Recipients included
4. Safe Harbor of Grand Traverse
6. The Rock - Youth Center, Kingsley
7. TCAPS Student Support Network
The Pay It Forward celebration has been a tradition at TBA Credit Union since 2015. The purpose is to provide random acts of kindness throughout the community.
“The phrase ‘People Helping People’ embodies what the credit union movement is all about,” said Karen Browne, TBACU’s President & CEO. “Our Pay-it-Forward celebration was embraced by our entire team. It was so inspirational to witness the excitement as each team chose a non-profit, presented the funds, and then shared the impact and gratitude they felt.”
A $340 million (assets) credit union, TBA Credit Union provides financial services to over 18,000 members across the State of Michigan. In addition to two branches and a call center located in Traverse City, TBA Credit Union members have access to over 30,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide through the CO-OP Network and over 250 Xtend Shared Branching locations.
