(Lake Jackson, TEXAS) – TDECU has announced a potential merger with San Jacinto Area Credit Union (SJACU), a state-chartered credit union located in Pasadena, Texas. This announcement marks the second merger exploration for TDECU in just under a month. In May, TDECU and Bluebonnet Credit Union (BCU) announced their entry into the formal due diligence process.
“We can think of no better partner than TDECU. Our values are aligned, and the combined strength of our credit unions will provide our members with greater service and superior product offerings,” said Courtland Crouchet, SJACU President & CEO. “This will be a big win for our members.”
The possible mergers represent a much greater presence in Houston and Harris County for TDECU, providing more convenient access to the combined membership.
These partnerships will benefit all members with enhanced accessibility and continued personalized service,” said Edward Speed, CEO of TDECU. “Both credit unions retain deep employee loyalty, which makes joining our cultures much easier. We are truly honored that SJACU and BCU would consider us as the entity they would like to have care for their members and employees in the future.”
