Teachers Credit Union hires Director of Public Relations
SOUTH BEND, IN (August 10, 2016) — Chantal Kowalski has joined Teachers Credit Union (TCU), Indiana’s largest credit union, as director of public relations. As a member of TCU’s communications team, she will be primarily responsible for the strategy, development and execution of the organization’s public relations efforts across all external channels, including social media. This includes gaining awareness of TCU’s events, community sponsorships and partnerships, among other initiatives.
“Chantal’s experience makes her an ideal candidate to lead our organization’s public relations efforts,” said Tara Holloway, assistant vice president of marketing and research. “We are excited to have her join our team as we grow our communications department.”
Chantal brings 10 years of experience in the public and media relations industry. Most recently, she held the role as publicity manager at John Wiley & Sons, Inc. where she oversaw all media and public relations for key product lines including the For Dummies® brand. Before that, she worked as a media relations specialist for BLASTMedia and a public relations coordinator for Pearson Education.
Chantal received her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from Ball State University. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America Hoosier Chapter and currently serving on the 2016 PRSA International Conference Hospitality Committee. She is also involved with Lean In, a national organization that encourages women to pursue their ambitions.
