Teachers Credit Union names Jon Glesing as Director of Public Relations

SOUTH BEND, IN (January 24, 2017) — Jon Glesing has joined Teachers Credit Union (TCU), Indiana’s largest credit union, as director of public relations. As a member of TCU’s communications team, he will be primarily responsible for the strategy, development and execution of the organization’s public relations efforts across all external channels, including social media.

“Jon’s diverse background in the communications industry makes him an ideal candidate to lead our organization’s public relations efforts,” said Tara Holloway, assistant vice president of marketing and research. “We’re excited to have Jon lead the charge as we build awareness of TCU’s events, community sponsorships and partnerships, among other initiatives.”

Jon brings more than 25 years of experience in the public and media relations industry. Most recently, he served as senior manager of communications, marketing and retail for the Indianapolis Indians. Before that, he worked as the public relations director for the Indianapolis Zoo and spent more than 10 years with Hat Word, Inc. (d.b.a. LIDS Sports Group) in various marketing, public and corporate relations roles.

He currently serves as a statistician for Pacers Sports & Entertainment and volunteers on the boards of Indianapolis Downtown Marketing Inc. and Washington Township Swim Club. Jon has also been involved with the Journalism Education Association and the National Scholastic Press Association, and is a past member of Public Relations Society of America and the American Marketing Association.
