Teachers Federal Credit Union announces fourth annual Teacher Appreciation Week Contest celebrating educators making outstanding contributions in their communities

HAUPPAUGE, NY (March 12, 2024)

WHAT:

Teachers Federal Credit Union is excited to announce that submissions are now open for its Annual Teacher Appreciation Week Contest. In its fourth year, Teachers is awarding classroom grants to educators nationwide who are making an outstanding academic contribution in their community. Winners will be announced during the nationally recognized Teacher Appreciation Week, May 6-10.

Teachers Federal Credit Union is awarding prizes in three teaching categories – grades pre-k – 5, 6 – 8, and 9 – 12 for a total of nine winners, and $15,000. There will be three winners per category each receiving a classroom grant based on scoring, 1st place $2,500, 2nd place $1,500, and 3rd place $1,000.

There is no limit to the number of times an educator can be nominated, and multiple entries are encouraged. You do not need to be a Teachers member to nominate/be nominated.

Following the March 5-19  nomination period, a Teachers Federal Credit Union panel will evaluate the nominees and select eighteen finalists, six from each of the three teaching categories.
