May 26, 2011, Willoughby Hills, OH – On May 10, 2011 managers and board members from 13 area credit unions attended a financial education seminar provided by Ron Schmidt and Jennifer Bopple of CBS Certified Public Accountants, LLC. The evening program held at the Willoughby Hills Community Center was attended by 72 credit union managers and board members from Cuyahoga, Lake and Geauga Counties.
Mike Losneck, President, Eaton Family Credit Union said, “This initiative came out of the The Northeast Chapter of the Ohio Credit Union League managers group. We set aside enough time for Ron to dive deep into financial statements plus he and Jennifer could answer any questions that came up.”
Managers and volunteer board members of credit unions ranging from $2.0 to $50.0 million asset size attended the event. In addition to fulfilling NCUA mandated financial education, they were able to interact with other board members who selflessly donate their time throughout the year.
