Telhio Credit Union encourages youth to save for big dreams during Credit Union Youth Month
COLUMBUS, OH (April 18, 2019) — Telhio Credit Union will be celebrating Credit Union Youth Month during the month of April with a special savings match program for youth accounts.
The theme of this year’s program at Telhio is “Saving for BIG Dreams!” The purpose of this coordinated effort is to teach children the value of savings and why having a savings account is important.
“Finding ways to support our community is a priority at Telhio. Credit Union Youth Month is a perfect program for us to help teach children and their parents the importance of savings,” said Karen Daniels, Chief Retail Officer. “This is another way that we demonstrate to our members that they are our priority, not our profits.”
There will be several components to the program for children, who can visit a local Telhio branch to participate. Children are invited to take a photo at the Dream banner and each branch will have fun, engaging activities and giveaways that underscore the importance of saving. Parents are also encouraged to open a youth savings account during the month of April to start saving for their child’s future. During Credit Union Youth Month, Telhio will match youth account deposits up to $25.
Telhio is very excited to introduce a new savings program for youth members. The Money Mammals Kids Club is designed to help kids learn how to save, share and spend wisely. Attend the Dream Party
Telhio Credit Union will be hosting a Dream Party Saturday, April 27th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at their Reynoldsburg, Worthington, Fairfield Village Green and Park Avenue branches. Telhio is inviting youth members and parents to come to one of these branches for a day of dreaming. There will be a host of activities that include decorating personal coin jars, creating dream boards, and more. Food will be provided.
